Jersey Overseas Aid is the Island’s official, publicly-funded aid and development agency.

JOA’s mission is to translate the generosity, skills and compassion of the people of Jersey into effective assistance for the world’s most vulnerable people.

EVENT: Humanitarian relief in complex crises

How do humanitarian agencies deliver life-saving assistance in some of the world’s most challenging contexts? Join us at Jersey Arts Centre on Thursday 3rd July at 6pm to hear from our partners World Food Programme and International Health Partners as they share how they navigate these challenges to facilitate access to life-saving assistance.

Where we work - current grants

JOA concentrates its development grants on six countries selected for their need, low levels of corruption and strength of relationship with Jersey. Our target countries are Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Zambia and Nepal. JOA also supports Jersey Charities working overseas and provides humanitarian assistance in many other countries.
