Partner with Jersey Overseas Aid

Jersey Overseas Aid provides international development grants and humanitarian funding to approved partners only. If you are interested in becoming a partner, please read the criteria below.

International Development Grants

JOA usually only funds pre-approved charities, non-profit organisations, academic institutions and UN Agencies, all of which are required to undergo a rigorous due diligence process before any funding is disbursed. The list of partners is revised periodically, but JOA regrets that it does not accept unsolicited proposals.

If you would like to become a partner so that you can apply for JOA funding please contact us: Email: enquiries@joa.je or Telephone: 01534 446901.

Jersey Overseas Aid's annual Request for Proposals (RFP) for development projects is usually launched in September.

Humanitarian relief

Humanitarian funding is only available to pre-selected and internationally-recognised agencies with demonstrable experience in humanitarian programming.

If you would like to become a partner in order to apply for JOA funding please contact us: Email:enquiries@joa.je or Telephone: 01534 446901.

Jersey Charities working abroad

Every year, JOA supports overseas projects run by local, Jersey-based charities. Projects range from dairy projects in East Africa to school construction projects in South Asia, from supporting the implementation of vegetable gardens in Gambia to providing access to safe, sustainable water in Nepal.

To be eligible to apply for a grant, a Jersey charity must:

  • be registered as a Jersey charity;
  • evidence good governance and financial oversight; and
  • demonstrate the capacity necessary to implement a project overseas.

Jersey charities may apply for more than one grant per year, and there is no limit to the number of grants a Jersey charity may apply for.

Visit the Jersey Charities page for more information.
